Being green requires a number of changes in almost everything you do. For example, I bet you would have never given a thought to how weddings are becoming more and more carbon intensive.
Scientists say that greening your wedding could bring you and the climate a lot of good fortune. Did you know that Liz Hurley's week long international wedding celebrations emitted as much CO2 in just a week as it would take 123 years for an Indian couple to emit. Studies have also shown that an average British wedding emits more CO2 than ten return flights to Thailand. Alarming, isn't it?
A great place to start would be eating local, flying less, opting for seasonal food, and dressing smarter. You definitely will have to avoid the many cars, flights, and of course the bride's insistence to have some exotic fruit transported from half way around the world as they can be very expensive -- not just for the person paying for it, but the climate too.
